Join our photo contest to show Tanabe City・Kumano to the rest of the world!
What
This photo contest is a chance for everyone to share there pictures of this unique area of Japan with the rest of the world! And possibly win some prizes!!
Display your digital pictures of Tanabe City along side other participants images to create one giant community online photo gallery!
Any photo that is taken in Tanabe City is eligible. It may be either a color image or black & white.
Contestants can submit as many photos as they want.
When
Two parts:
From May 1, 2011 to September 30, 2011
From October 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012
Who
Anyone!! You do not have to be a resident of Tanabe City or Japan.
Prizes
Great Prizes!! An overnight for two at a local onsen resort! Plus other specialty products of the Tanabe area
Your online votes as well as the judges opinions will both be taken into account to determine winning photos.
Notes
The following information of winning submissions will be included on this website. (name of photo, nickname {real name is also possible if entrant prefers} and winner’s comment)
If winners are unable to be contacted they default their prize.
We may also require original data of images.
World Wide Exposure
Please join us to share Tanabe City and the Kumano area with the rest of the world.
Your digital pictures will be displayed on our homepage along side other participants images in one giant community online photo gallery!
Submitted pictures may also be used in promotional materials such as on our website, magazines or pamphlets to promote Tanabe City!

Our contest is very simple to enter. Fill out the submission Form, attach your file and press the submit button and your picture joins our community photo gallery!

Copyright and Personal Information
Copyright
The copyright of the image belongs to the photographer (person who submitted image) but the Tanabe City Kumano Tourism Bureau reserves the right to use the image free of charge. Also in correspondence with the photo, the submitter’s nickname, as well as country, and/or prefecture, and/or city of residence may be used.
The photos may be used for promotional purposes including websites, newspapers, magazines, posters, leaflets, pamphlets, etc. by the Tanabe City Kumano Tourism Bureau or other pertinent agencies.
- If the subject of the photo is a person please confirm with them that it is OK to use their image. If it is a minor, please confirm with a parent or guardian.
- We do not take any responsibility for any violation of other people’s copyrights, rights to usage of one’s likeness or problems arising there of. If there are any copyright issues with the winning photos we reserve the right to disqualify submitted images.
- If there are any copyright issues between the submitter of the photo and a third party it is the responsibility of the submitter not that of the Tanabe City Kumano Tourism Bureau.
Submitter's Personal Information
- Submitter’s name and e-mail address will only be used to confirm contents and to inform submitter of prize winnings.
- We will not use this information in any other way or share it will third parties.
- We may need your personal address to send you prizes.
