I just wanted to write to let you know how much I enjoyed my trip- no small thanks to your help. I came to Tanabe on a whim after seeing promises of "mountains" and "onsens" in my Rough Guide to Japan. I didn't have any reservations or any idea if it would even be possible to do the trail - but you sat me down and laid the whole thing out for me.

The trail was all was everything I'd hoped for and more - it was like walking through a fantasy world. I only saw one other hiking group on the whole trail - otherwise it was just me and the mountains and a few (extremely kind and welcoming) locals. The scenery was stunning, the people fabulous, and the accommodation luxurious. As I'm sure you already know, you have a real gem in your hands out there. You'd better bet I'll be coming back to do the rest.

You guys are just wonderful. Of all of Japan, Kumano Tourism delivered a level of friendliness, communication and service that surpassed anything else we'd come across. I only wish we'd contacted you earlier as we would have been able to make a more thorough plan and overcome some of the last-minute booking difficulties we had. (On that note, many of the hotels on the website say '7-day in advance reservation only', but when the hotels were contacted directly, they were happy to accept our booking at shorter notice). We were particularly touched when Brad dropped into our hotel at Tanabe to say 'hi'. The locals had a country-town friendliness that made us really feel we'd experienced another side of Japan. It was a very rewarding part of our holiday to Japan, and you guys bent over backwards to look after us. Thank you!

Kumano Kodo was the highlight of our journey in Japan! The hosts was so friendly and helpful and the trekking was beautiful! And it was great that you welcomed us in Tanabe city for up to date information.

I just returned from Japan today and can't wait to tell you how much my husband and I enjoyed this trip. Although we also went tp Osaka and Kanazawa, we especially enjoyed our stay at Fujiya Ryokan at Kawayu Onsen, which is one of the most unforgettable experience we ever had before! In fact, it's my very first time to experience hot spring and just love it. 

The weather in Wakayama was perfect! We're also able to enjoy the river at night while a full moon and numerous stars were in the sky. The most unique feeling was while enjoying the hot spring river, our foot could feel the icy cold spring water while our backs were rest on the warm hot spring! Amazing feeling!!

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to you for your kind assistance and very clear instructions and guidance in traveling to and from this beautiful area! I love Wakayama and sure will go back again for more exploration and visiting onsens!
