Hisui-no-yu ひすいの湯
This hot spring is full of the historical atmosphere of Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage route.
It is located beside Minshuku Chikatsuyu which is situated beside the Hiki River close to Chikatsuyu-oji, half way between JR Kii-Tanabe Station and Kumano Hongu Taisha.
You can enjoy listening to the sound of the stream in a variety of seasonal settings such as cherry blossoms in spring and colored leaves in autumn. If you are doing a two day pilgrimage from Takijiri-oji to Kumano Hongu Taisha, Nakahechi is the ideal place to overnight and enjoy the hot mineral waters of Hisui-no-yu.

This hot spring is located in the Hotel Kanpo-no-yado on the coast in Tanabe City near Cape Tenjinzaki, one of the first places in all of Japan to establish a national trust movement.
