Hisui-no-yu ひすいの湯

Hisui-no-yu2.jpgThis hot spring is full of the historical atmosphere ofKumano Kodo Pilgrimage route. It is located beside Minshuku Chikatsuyu which is situated beside the Hiki River close to Chikatsuyu-oji, half way between JR Kii-Tanabe Station and Kumano Hongu Taisha. You can enjoy listening to the sound of the stream in a variety of seasonal settings such as cherry blossoms in spring and colored leaves in autumn. If you are doing a two day pilgrimage from Takijiri-oji to Kumano Hongu Taisha, Nakahechi is the ideal place to overnight and enjoy the hot mineral waters of Hisui-no-yu.
