「紀伊山地の霊場と参詣道」
World Heritage ”Kumano Kodo”
日本古来の巡礼路「熊野古道」。2004年に世界遺産登録され、いまでは世界中から多くの人々が訪れています。性別や身分を問わずすべての人々を受けれてきた寛容な聖地で、自分自身と向き合う旅を。
The Kumano Kodo is an ancient Japanese pilgrimage route. It was registered as a World Heritage Site in 2004, and now many people from all over the world visit it. It is a sacred place of tolerance that has always welcomed all people, regardless of gender or status, and it is a journey to face yourself.

Kishu Tanabe is blessed bountiful marine and mountain products thanks to a warm climate. We offer a wide variety of Honmamon local specialties and products including processed foods made with fresh seafood caught in the local fishing port and produce such as ume (Japanese apricots) and mikan (mandarin oranges) for which we boast among the highest production volume in Japan!

Dual pilgrim
関西パビリオン和歌山ブースにて、田辺市とスペイン国サンティアゴ・デ・コンポステーラ市が取り組む「Dual pilgrim」について展示。世界に2つしかない世界遺産の「巡礼路」の魅力をお届けします。

At the Wakayama booth, there will be an exhibition about the “Dual pilgrim” project being undertaken by Tanabe City and Santiago de Compostela City in Spain. The exhibition will promote the appeal of the only two World Heritage “pilgrimage routes” in the world.

Wow! Wakayama!
A land of surprises that connects to the future
Under the theme of “Wow! Wakayama! Land of Surprises,” various organizations in Wakayama Prefecture will work together to promote the prefecture. Tanabe City will set up a tasting corner for plum wine and sell local specialties.

W世界遺産＆梅酒フェス
関西パビリオン多目的エリアを2日間まるごと田辺市に。２つの世界遺産と梅酒フェスをテーマに、世界文化遺産「紀伊山地の霊場と参詣道」、世界農業遺産「みなべ・田辺の梅システム」、産地自慢の「梅酒」をお届けします。

Two World Heritage & Umeshu Festival
The Kansai Pavilion multipurpose area will be dedicated to Tanabe City for two days. With the theme of two World Heritage sites and a Umeshu festival, we will be showcasing the World Cultural Heritage site “Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range,” the Globally Important Agricultural Heritage site “Minabe-Tanabe Ume System,” and the umeshu that the region is proud of.

万博漬け
BANPAKU-ZUKE
2025年大阪・関西万博シグネチャーパビリオン「EARTH MART」にて会場内で実際に漬けられた梅干し。長期保存ができる梅干しを使って万博の思い出を未来へと託します。万博漬けは、2050年に食べられる、いわば「食のタイムカプセル」です。
At the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo Signature Pavilion “EARTH MART,” umeboshi (pickled plums) will be prepared on-site. These long-lasting pickled plums serve as a way to carry memories of the Expo into the future. Dubbed the “Expo Pickle”, this edible time capsule is set to be enjoyed in the year 2050.
